From Travel Ball Parents to Youth Baseball Supporters
Turn2 Team
Turn2 Threads Team
Turn2 Threads didn't start as a business plan or a brand pitch. It started with a simple question asked by baseball parents in a dugout: "How do we fund these kids' dreams?"
We're not professional marketers or retail executives. We're travel ball parents. We're coaches who spend weekends at tournaments instead of sleeping in. We're the ones carrying coolers, tracking pitch counts, and driving kids to 6 AM practices before heading to our day jobs.
And like every travel ball family knows, the costs add up fast. Tournament fees. Travel expenses. Equipment that gets outgrown every season. It's a financial grind that limits opportunities for too many young athletes.
In Spring 2025, our NC Revenge 12U team went 21-6 and earned something special: an invitation to Cooperstown Dreams Park in July 2026.
If you're not familiar with Cooperstown, it's the holy grail of youth baseball. Located in upstate New York—home of the Baseball Hall of Fame—this tournament brings together 104 teams from across North America to compete on 22 regulation fields modeled after famous MLB ballparks. For a 12-year-old who lives and breathes baseball, it's a once-in-a-lifetime experience.
THE COOPERSTOWN DREAM
The trip includes tournament registration, accommodation in authentic baseball barracks, all meals, charter bus transportation, team equipment, and the experience of competing against the best 12U teams in the country.
Total cost: $20,000-$25,000 for the team. About $3,000 per player.
For some families, that's manageable. For others, it's a number that could keep their kid home while teammates live the dream. That's not something any of us were willing to accept.
We could have done the usual fundraiser routine—car washes, bake sales, GoFundMe campaigns. And we're doing some of that too. But we wanted something more sustainable. Something that could fund Cooperstown and keep supporting youth baseball long after the trip ends.
We also noticed something: our kids were obsessed with drip. They wanted gear that looked fresh. They followed baseball style trends on TikTok. They cared about their batting gloves matching their cleats. But most youth baseball apparel was... boring.
That's when it clicked. What if we created apparel that young players actually wanted to wear? What if we made gear with the streetwear aesthetic they loved, combined with the baseball culture they live? And what if every purchase directly funded youth baseball programs?
Turn2 Threads operates under Eastern NC Travel Baseball, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (Tax ID: 99-0589577). We're the sister initiative of Revenge Baseball, which runs competitive travel ball programs in Eastern NC and Upstate SC.
100% of proceeds from Turn2 Threads go directly to youth baseball development. That means:
Right now, a big portion of our efforts is focused on the NC Revenge 12U Cooperstown fundraiser. But Turn2 Threads is built to last beyond that trip. We want to keep funding youth baseball dreams for years to come.
In baseball, "turning two" means executing a double play—one of the most satisfying plays in the game. It requires teamwork, quick thinking, and flawless execution. It's about making the most of every opportunity.
That's what we're trying to do with Turn2 Threads. Take a need (fundraising) and turn it into something bigger (a brand young players love). Take a purchase (a hoodie or tee) and turn it into an opportunity (for a kid to make the travel team, or make it to Cooperstown).
Every purchase is a double play. You get fresh gear. A kid gets an opportunity.
If you're reading this, you probably know a young baseball player. Maybe your own kid. Maybe a nephew or a neighbor. You know the passion they have for this game. You've seen them practicing in the backyard or watching highlights at midnight.
That passion deserves support. Not every family can afford the full cost of travel ball, and no kid should miss out on Cooperstown because of finances.
